I am a tech junky. MP3’s, laptops, G5, PIV, Centrino, Lithium-Ion, Warp Speed. It’s what I love and fortunately it makes the world go round. But what I really enjoy is making my love work for me. Editing music, putting together a website, shooting a movie. This is where Kean University fits in.
Over the years I have done several short films with friends that were all edited digitally. I currently hold a job at Radio Shack sharing with my community my technology know-how. This summer, in addition to my job at Radio Shack, I worked as a intern at Indian Hills High School with their Integrated Technology Center. Through these avenues I have finally discovered what I want my career field to be.
My education has been a winding road of colleges and universities. I began my freshman year of college right after high school at Clarkson University. I stayed there only a year for several reasons. The communication program was not quite what I wanted second was the cost of tuition, and lastly was there location. After a rocky first semester I was much happier with my GPA at the end of the year. After Clarkson I searched for a school to transfer to. I did not find the right match and I knew I could not take a semester off from school so I enrolled at The Ramapo College of New Jersey. Currently I am a sophomore taking Communication classes.
Your school is one of the first I have discovered with a major of Graphic Communications with a Technology Option. I am very excited to have a chance to be a part of this program. I hope to complete my education at your university and enter the working world fully prepared.
