been quite some time since a posting so here it goes...
Went to The City yesterday with Liz. It was fun though a bit rainy. Unfortunetly the trip was not souly for pleasure. She had two interviews for internships. One totaly wasted her time and said the position was already filled. The other said she had to call them back tomarrow. The thing is that it only pays 100 bucks a week and its in a area that does not interest her (finacial), where as Seeds of Peace was about helping people not kill eachother. So the real decision is whether or not to take the second internship. (See her post here.). With commuting factored in it woould be a 7-7 job, 5 days a week. It would come down to something like 2 dollars an hour. Though she could meet someone that would want to hire her in the future, what are the chances that someone in the finacial world would make a move to a diplomat/seeds of peace thingy. I mean there is a chance...but a slim one that a contact she makes now as a freshman intern would turn something out in 3 years when she enters the working world. If i was her, I would take the stop and shop job (or maybe a job at my cousin's Jewelery store) and maximize my hours there and inturn maximize the money stockpile. Then next summer she could get a bitchin' internship doing whatever she is specializing at in the SFS school. I don't know, i just have to remember that it's not my decision and to not get overly involved.
